I discovered my enthusiasm for painting as a child and enjoyed spending a lot of time with it. As a teenager, my interest unfortunately faded into the background. It wasn’t until 2010 – when I was renovating my flat – that I suddenly felt a strong impulse to create something of my own. I banished the art prints I had collected until then to the cellar and started painting again. I eagerly stocked up on specialist literature and materials and started experimenting with acrylic paints. My passion for celebrity portraiture was quickly ignited. Over the years, I found it much more appealing to switch to “everyday faces” and fantasy motifs. My intention is to depict emotions and tell little stories.
