Mark Tennant received a B.F.A. from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, and an M.F.A. from the New York Academy of Art Academy in New York City. In 2008 and 2009 he was Director of the Graduate Art Painting Programme at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where he has been a lecturer since 1998 since 1998. In addition to other exhibitions, his paintings were exhibited twice at the Salon d’Automne in Paris d’Automne in Paris. He has copied museum courses at the Louvre in Paris, the Metropolitan Museum in New York and the Legion of Honour in San Francisco.
