Existence through physical sensation. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Dualism is the source of her inspiration, the influence of her study of philosophy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Eva moulds body and soul.<\/span><br \/><span>She works the clay with an all-consuming passion.<\/span><br \/><span>It is chained to this earth as if by the act of creation.<\/span><br \/><span>She sculpts while she breathes, and she breathes while she moulds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Clay flows through her veins and escapes from beneath her ankles to give birth to creatures that are neither terrestrial nor aquatic nor lunar, who escape her and find their own freedom.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Eva Czaplicki became a sculptor through sculpture. Her demands are fierce, endless, her dissatisfaction permanent. Her punishment is sometimes painful.
