“The painter should not only paint what he sees before him,” says the German Romantic Caspar David Friedrich, “but also what he sees within himself.” Babette paints her motifs with the same motivation. Her works reflect her soul. She explores the possibilities of painting, often creating series of pictures with the same subject, expressed in different techniques and sizes.<\/p>\n
